This month at THE BEDFORD...

The Bedford (formerly Legends Bar) is an historic Christchurch building built in 1903. The original function of this building was the Canterbury horse bazaar. The horse bazaar is an important remnant of the early period of Canterbury's history. Having been utilised for other ventures since the century old building remains standing, thanks to the Christchurch City Council who upgraded the building in exchange for an historic covenant.

In January 2009, the venue has been reopened as The Bedford Bar.
